Ay yi yi! This week was tough for me. With family coming in town, I knew this weekend I wouldn’t be able to stick to my NutriSystem Friday-Sunday. So unfortunately, after this weekend of southern food, I gained a little bit of weight. Totally my fault, but being away from home 12 hours straight everyday on the weekend, it was nothing I could really do.
But on another note, during the week was great. I am starting to get a better understand of how I can add items on to my meals in more creative ways. I wanted to talk about that for a little bit since I get alot of questions about that. There are several Grocery Add-Ons that you could/should add daily to your NS meals. NS makes it so easy too. They provide you with a great list of items that you could add and stick to your weight loss plan. Here are some of my favorites from the lists.
Broccoli, cooked ½ cup
Broccoli, raw 1 cup <—- I loovveee adding broccoli.
Cabbage, cooked ½ cup
Carrots, raw 1 cup
Cauliflower, cooked ½ cup
Cauliflower, raw 1 cup
Collard Greens, cooked ½ cup
Cucumbers, 1 cup <— Cucumbers and tomatoes are an amazing snack!
Lettuce, iceberg, Romaine 1 cup <—Small salad works for me
Mixed Greens 1 cup
Spinach, cooked ½ cup
Spinach, raw 1 cup
Tomato, 1 medium
Tomatoes, cherry 1 cup
Tomatoes, grape 1 cup
Apple Juice ½ cup
Apple, 1 medium
Banana, 1 medium
Beans, black, cooked ½ cup
Blackberries 1 cup
Black-eyed Peas, cooked ½ cup
Cantaloupe, cubed 1 cup
Grape Juice ½ cup
Grapefruit Juice ½ cup
Grapefruit, 1 medium
Grapes 1 cup
Mandarin Oranges, 2 medium
Mango 1 cup
Oatmeal, prepared with water ½ cup
Orange Juice ½ cup
Orange, 1 medium
Peaches, canned, packed in water 1 cup
Plantains, cooked ½ cup
Raspberries 1 cup
Rice, brown, cooked ½ cup
Cheese, low fat 1 slice
Crab meat 3 oz.
Crab Meat, imitation ½ cup
Peanut Butter 1 Tbsp.
Shrimp 3 oz.
String Cheese, low fat 1 piece Tuna, water-packed ½ cup
Turkey Breast 2 oz.
Yogurt, nonfat 1 cup
The lists don’t stop there, but those are just my favorite items from the list. I loved them already and that I can easily add to my meals.

Will be better this week. I will be more consistent throughout the week and over the weekend as well 🙂
