Wal-Mart : Shop The Aisle Savannah, GA Recap
I was so honored to be asked to participate in Wal-Mart’s Shop The Aisle program recently. I recently found out they had so many of my favorite products! This program is basically to raise awareness for the new Natural Hair section in some Wal-Mart’s around the country. They get a blogger to host to answer questions from the Wal-Mart shoppers and the guests who RSVP’d.
My first “Shop The Aisle” was in Savannah, GA. Each Wal-Mart may have different brands- but this one carried Shea Moisture, Beautiful Textures, EDEN BodyWorks, 4Natural, CurlMax, and Taliah Waajid among some other brands like Mizani, Keracare, and Motions.
I talked to dozens of people about natural hair and provided tips and even gave some product suggestions. Because I have tried pretty much all of the products available at Wal-Mart, I had decent knowledge about alot of the products available. I was able to assist young kids from baby aged to older women with all gray hair. Even relaxed ladies inquired about going natural. I also met a couple of Twitter followers and Youtube subbies!
Probably the most frequently asked question was “How do I get my hair from being so dry?”. I had tons of suggestions pretty much in all of the lines. This seems to be the biggest issue of ladies with natural hair—how do we keep our hair from being so dry. Deep condition and moisturize!!!
Thanks to everyone who came out in Savannah!!
I will be doing another one in Richmond in October! I hope to see my VA fam there!
