#TravelTuesday Hanging Out In Nashville

I was in Nashville 2 weekends ago for the Dollar General Day Of Beauty and I had a blast. It was my first time in Nashville so the first thing I thought about : Country music & good food!!
With the help of Yelp and some friends from Nashville, I got a ton of recommendations! I didn’t get to hit up most, but I got a GREAT taste of Nashville in just 2 days.
When I arrived, AllThingsBee and I headed to Broadway which is the cities main street for all things Country music and honky tonk. There were several cowboy boots stores and tons of cowboy hats…in addition to Elvis sightings lol.
We wanted some BBQ so we found a spot called Jacks Bar-B-Que. We got the brisket and it was AMAZING!! Like seriously. It makes me miss bar-b-que even though there are some good spots in Atlanta. I definitely recommend their brisket. They give you several sauces to choose from.
That evening, we met up with the group to go to Sambuca. It was a very nice restaurant in a trendy part of town. With a live band downstairs, we sat upstairs and had the perfect view.
The band was great and had everyone up dancing!
I got a great caesar salad and scallops for my entree. The scallops were super tasty and included asparagus. The seasoning was really good! I also got Creme Brulee for dessert 🙂 Everything was superb. We enjoyed our time at the restaurant!
The next day we heard that Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint was the best bar-b-que spot in Nashville so we went to put it to the test.
We got the Big Momma Sampler which is their meal for 2 and it was soooo good. I preferred the brisket at Jack’s, but that definitely doesn’t mean it wasn’t still good. Everything off this plate was gone so fast! They had a variety of BBQ sauces too. I tried all of them, including their hot one that burned my mouth several times and I didn’t learn my lesson and tried it again lol. Oh, let’s not forget their pecan pie!!! My mouth is still drooling from that. It was the best pecan pie I Have ever had!
My time in Nashville was short but I can’t wait to go back. I still need to try their famous Hot Chicken. I’ll be back!!
