african print bloggers
Myself in SuakokoBetty, Christina from in Demestiks NY, and Jessica of in Futa by Chama

I thought I would make this easy for people searching brands that sell contemporary clothing in African prints because I am OBSESSED with African prints and I myself am always Googling so I figured it would be cool for me compile a list of brands they I am constantly watching. I will constantly be adding to this list, so please share in the comments if I am missing some good ones!

For great ways to style African print, check out this post on bloggers who did it for inspiration at

Check out some of my favorite and scroll through the slideshows!

Suakoko Betty– I lover her designs and the owner/designer. She won a designer contest with Belk last year and was able to have her clothing featured in their stores! She is awesome. She custom makes items too! She made a short suit for me that I am IN LOVE with! I have worn her items several times. (Check out my post here)

D Piper Twins- Cute & stylish twin designers that make the cutest dresses and styles. I recently picked up 2 tops and a skirt from them.

Demestiks New York – This designer is from my neck of the woods (757/VA) and you may have seen his items on Beyonce 🙂 I recently scored a blazer from his Black Friday sale.

Kaela Kay–  Super cute dresses, skirts and bottom with a contemporary feel!

Tribal Groove– They have really cute skirts, turbans and dresses!

Li Li’s Creations – They have really cute tees and skrits

Zuvaa – A master source for many brands that sell African print clothing. These are brands from all over the world.

Nubian Hueman- DC based store that sells amazing African print fashions. You can get a ton in one place.

MyAshoMarket- A marketplace of high quality African fashion in one place. You can get anything!

Beads By Aree – I love her jewelry. I have gotten many earrings from her. She has jewelry that incorporates Africa and uses items from African countries.

HauteBaso – Real cute jewelry and clutches from Rwandan designers.

E Turner Couture – Cute statement jewelry using African fabric

If you have some more for me to add that I may not know about, please let me know and I can add them to the list 🙂
