‘My Black Is Beautiful’ Experience At ESSENCE Fest
I had a great time at the convention center for the ESSENCE Fest. I checked out the My Black Is Beautiful activation which was super poppin’. The lines wrapped around to get your makeup and hair touchups using COVERGIRL makeup products & Pantene hair products.
On Saturday morning, we were on the MBIB panel at the Wal-Mart activation with host & TLC Star Tai Beauchamp. Myleik of CurlBox was also on the panel.
It was a great panel and very inspirational.
On Sunday at the MBIB booth, they reached out to makeup artist Starr to hook up my face and record it! After all the partying that weekend, I needed a great look! She went step by step and helped find the perfect look to my normal neutral. By just adding a pop of color underneath my eye, my normally neutral look was transformed to glam..and I loved every bit of it. From the contour to the cat eyes (Which she taught me how to do properly by the way), I got so many great tips while using the COVERGIRL products including the QUEEN Collection.
I absolutely loved the foundation! She used the Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation. For the contour, she used Queen Collection Natural Hue Liquid Foundation. The SuperSizer Mascara really made my sparse lashes pop!! They have a small brush so it helped separate them. My look was topped off with the Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer. This whole look was everything! I got compliments all day!! Not to mention, it lasted ALL night long past the Kendrick Lamar concert!!
After we got our makeup hooked up, we headed back to the room to do interviews. Jessica did an interview with India Arie. We also had a chat about beauty tips & inspiration as well as beards on men!!
Jessica did a dope interview with India Arie
I had a great time hanging out at the My Black Is Beautiful activation. Look out for our fun videos coming up soon on the MBIB Youtube channel.
