Motions Stylebar and Blogger Tweetup Recap!
I had A BLAST at the Motions Style Bar sponsored by Motions this weekend. I arrived in New Orleans on Wednesday to get there before all of the music festival madness so we could chill and enjoy the restaurants with no line and no wait… Well of course that didn’t last long.
Fast forward to Friday, the first day of the Motions Style Bar. In The W hotel, I hear a lot of music and walk into the room to see a full on PAR-TAY going on. Motions had a GREAT DJ and Rocsi Diaz and Hosea Chanchez from “The Game” hosted. They had everyone really into it!! They laughed and joked and had dancing competitions. M.C. Lyte even stopped by to give the crowd a snippet of what she was going to do the next day. And you know you can’t have a party without the “Wobble”.
Saturday was here!
Danielle (TheStyleAndBeautyDoctor.com) and I prepared for our blogger Tweet Up during the Motion’s Style Bar.
OMG! We had soooo much fun. From 1:30-3:30 several bloggers came by and joined us for cocktails and conversation. Most of us knew each other already so it was fun to get to see all of the fabulous ladies. I always enjoy hanging with bloggers because we get each other and we have a common goal. We had Motions signature cocktails, fabulous light hors d’oeuvres, tons of picture taking, and of course HAIR CHAT!!!
Afrobella, Cassadie of Naturally Curly, DivasAndDorks, LoveBrownSugar, GlamazonsBlog, Madame Noire, In Her Shoes, BlakeVonD, MeMyHairAndTheCity, Kim of Ebony.com and TheCurlyCam.com and more stopped by for this get together. Everyone met and talked to Motions Global Ambassador Ursula Stephen and took pics with her and actor Hosea Chanchez!
Ursula took to the stage and provided tons of hair tips to the ladies in attendance and some additional hairstylists did touch ups.
After the hair chat and questions from the audience, MC Lyte took the stage and performed some of her biggest hits …with Hosea as her backup dancer lol.
I chatted with Hosea. Tia & Hosea are BFFs so since I used to work with Tia, sometimes I would hang out with them. Surprised he remembered me.
I would say the tweet up and the Motions Style Bar was a success. What more do you need then fab hair, cocktails and fun music??!
I had so much fun with the Motions team! We have to do it again!
