Motions Holiday Hair Tweet Up! Recap!

I had a blast this weekend. Danielle of TheStyleAndBeautyDoctor.com, Taren916 and I co-hosted the Motions Holiday Hair Tweet Up. Danielle and I were in Atlanta and were joined by 16 of our favorite Atlanta bloggers- fashion, beauty, mommy, and lifestyle.

We held it at TW!ST in Buckhead in Atlanta at Phipps Plaza. We enjoyed wine and tapas and chatted Motion’s hair products  and our hair story with the ladies.

Firstly, Danielle and I talked about our experience with the Motions brand and of course I got into how I have been using the products since I was a little girl. I remember back in the day, if you didn’t use Motions…you weren’t using the right products!

We listened to each blogger’s inspiring hair story and realized that we all have natural hair, but we had a different way of getting there.

Yolanda of YourUnexpectedBeauty had a great story. She actually saw a lady in Target with natural hair who explained to her that she donated her hair to Locks of Love. Yolanda decided to donate her long length as well and with the encouragement from her hubby, she decided to stay natural.

Danni of DanielleCanada.com and RollingOut.com has recently taken out her extensions to experience her natural hair growth. A little perplexed on what styles to do, she is experimenting with different styles and decided to straighten her hair and curl it!

We only had one transitioner, Dominique  of OhChicFancy.com. She chooses to wear extensions and hopes to make it through the transition process. She always looks fab!

While everyone was telling their amazing stories, we tweeted the night away. Taren916 joined us via Twitter from NY to join in on the conversations. Twitter participants were able to ask us questions and get Motions product recommendations based on their needs. We got questions such as “What holiday styles could I do without it being an updo?”. My response, pin up just one side for an old Hollywood type of style or play around with accessories. Another great question, “What Motions products would you recommend smoothing your hair down?” Motions Shine Enhancing Pomade.  We had fun answering questions online!

The ladies in Atlanta left the event with 5 products to play with. They were excited and very eager to try them out!

We had a great time! Hair chat, wine & tapas, and fellowship! Can’t wait to do it again. Check out some pics:
