Kinky Curly Event at Urban Bella

I had the opportunity to meet Shelley Davis this weekend! She was AMAZING! She was so friendly and was a world of knowledge. At Urban Bella (a salon/store in ATL) she did 3 or more sessions and they allowed consumers to come in and ask Ms. Davis questions about her products and how to use them. Urban Bella provided some of their stylists to try out the products on hair models selected from the audience. They actually did their hair from start to finish. This was so nice because I have the products but haven’t tried them out yet. After this awesome tutorial, I am definitely going to try it out soon..maybe tomorrow for my birthday. I love the idea of 4-6 day hair 🙂

They took two hair models- one with a TWA and one a little longer than that. The product worked so well in their hair. They started with the Come Clean and then the Knot Today. They left the Knot Today on as a Leave In and then while keeping the hair wet, they took small sections and used the Curling Custard. The ladies sat under the dryer and then the stylist put on some Gloss Pomade to “scrunch the crunch” for the ladies that choose to do so. With the pomade they didn’t finger it through so they wouldn’t disrupt the curl, they kind of scrunched it in while lifting the curls for the ladies that like big hair LIKE ME 😉 The ladies had great results.

Ms. Davis gave very valuable tips. You must put the KCCC on soaking wet hair which means..its probably easier to do it in the shower.  Also, if you have wavy hair, you should probably wash out the Knot Today before applying the KCCC. Women with all textures can use this , but remember—If you have a relaxer or naturally straight hair or damaged hair, it will not make your hair curly.

If you thought her hair was gorgeous on the internet, in person it is even prettier.

Check out Kinky-Curly online . She also has a kids line out.

Thanks to Urban Bella for hosting this event and thank you to Shelley Davis for coming to ATL.
