Headed To Montego Bay, Jamaica For Reggae SumFest
Next week, I am headed back to sunny Jamaica for some fun in the sun!! I can’t wait! The last time I went to Jamaica in December, I went with my parents so I couldn’t really get out and have fun like I wanted to lol. This time, I am going with my friend Saundra so it should be fun times!
We are going to Montego Bay to attend the Reggae Sumfest (the largest reggae festival in the world) and just relax and have fun! I am so excited about this vacation.
I have so many plans while I’m there!
I am so excited. I love reggae and dancehall, but yet I don’t really know too many artists. It will be a fun experience for me even though I will not be familiar with all of the artists. On the International nights I am in for a treat. Miguel and Flo-Rida will be performing. I am a serious Miguel fan (I met him twice and the first time I met him he complimented my natural hair 🙂 ). I also am a fan of Flo-Rida. He makes great dance music and he is for sure an international artist.
I LOVE to swim, especially in the ocean. I just love relaxing by the beach. I hope my hotel has workout classes in the morning. In Negril last year we had an awesome beach aerobics class in the water and it was so much fun. That was pretty much the start of me working out again. I also want to get in a quick bronzey tan! Of course I will be protecting my skin with sunscreen.
Last year I went horseback riding in the ocean and swimming with dolphins. This time I want to scuba dive and maybe go to Dunn’s River Falls. I’m totally open. I try to be very adventurous when I go to any new place. In addition to the tours and excursions, I also like to do stuff the locals do. Like go to restaurants where the locals go. I had the BEST meal last year for about $6 US from a small store about 40 mins from Negril- Curry conch!! It was sooo good!
If anyone is from Jamaica or has been there and has any suggestions for great excursions or great beaches, restaurants, etc… let me know!
To top off everything, I am now much more confident with my size. Instead of a one-piece swimsuit, I have several bikinis I got from ASOS, FigLeaves and Rue107 that I am really excited about!!
Can’t wait to be on the beach next week!!
