Glam Beauty Board- Fall Makeup Trends
Hey Everyone! I am sooo excited that I have been selected to be on the Glam Beauty Board for Glam.com ( Woohooo!!!!)
So for my first month I got some AWESOME products.
Here is a list of the products I received for review:
- Rimmel London Volume Accelerator
- Essie nail polish in Midnight Cami
- Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 006 Matte “Really Red”
- Maybelline Lasting Drama by Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow in S&M
- Benefit Brow Zings in Medium
What a great package!!! I was so excited to try everything out!
Lets start with the eyes!
Urban Decay eyeshadow in S&M
I describe this color as a fabulous sparkly silver. UD describes it as a Bright Metallic Silver. I love this color. I am already a fan of Urban Decay shadows and have bought several over the past 5 years. I have never tried this color and it is very pretty. UD shadows are very pigmented and glide on smooth. I love it! This color could create a very sexy smokey eye when mixed with a darker silver/grey or a black.
Maybelline Lasting Drama by Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
I absolutely loved this. For a girl like me who doesn’t have the steadiest hand lol, I need something that is easy. I love the brush that came with it. It is not hard and has the perfect feel and the brush literally glided across my eye. This worked out for great for me.
The crazy thing is, I have spent between $20-$40 on high end makeup brands to get their gel liner and an inexpensive brand has one that does the same job as my more expensive ones. Wow! Next time I know and I can save some money in the process.
Rimmel London Volume Accelerator in Extreme Black
Mascara is my favorite because my lashes are kinda sparse. Mascara does wonders even if you have nothing else on your face. When I pulled the wand out, I loved the size and shape of the brush. Immediately my lashes were defined and looked amazing!!! I loved it. It only took one coat of mascara and my sparse eyelashes tured nice and long!!! Just check out the difference to see what I am talking about:
Now to the eyebrows. Let me just give you a disclosure first, I am NOT good at doing brows.
Benefit Brow Zings
I liked this eyebrow kit. It has everything you need: Mini-tweezers, eyebrow wax, eyebrow powder and 2 brushes. Everything in a mini kit! Perfect. It’s something that you can carry around in your purse too. And for ladies like me who aren’t good at shaping their brows, they have instructions inside!!!
Lips are next..as you can see from the picture above.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 006 Matte “Really Red”
I am a fan of Red lipstick…but I haven’t quite found the red for me. I always get confused between what shade would go best with my complexion. Because I am a lighter complexion of brown, I always worry about a color being too bright for me or too dark. One thing I have never tried is a matte red up until today.
I actually really like this shade of red on my complexion. The lipstick feels good. I have been wearing it for about 7 hours and it hasn’t dried out my lips like I thought a matte lipstick would do. This one is definitely a keeper for the fall and winter months when I get to dress up more! 🙂
And last, but not least, I have to hook up my nails. ( I am a nail fanatic!!!)
Essie nail polish in Midnight Cami
I am a nail fanatic! I have way too many nail polishes in fact lol. For the Fall and Winter I love darker colors. It’s time for me to get rid of the nudes and other light colors and go for the dark and glam colors like this Midnight Cami. Two words: LOVE IT! I would describe this color as a pearly midnight blue. It is a beautiful shade and I am a big fan of Essie Nail polish because it is great quality.
So I just hooked up my face and nails! Here is a comprehensive picture of everything I tried.
