Fro Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 Coming Up

Fro Fashion Week is coming up in a couple of weeks! I  have never attended but I’ve heard good things. This year, the festivities take place Feb 25-March 3. It’s events throughout the week, including some free events! Check out all the deets.

Spring 2013 ‘Fro Fashion Week Hair and Beauty Conference  will take place February 25-March 3, 2013 at the Marriott Perimeter Center, Atlanta GA.  The new home offers several ammenities including Free Parking for ‘Fro Fashion Week  attendees.  In addition, this week-long event, birthed by Tarin Boone, Naturally Me! Media and endorsed by comedienne and natural hair enthusiast Kim Coles, international acclaimed fashion and hair blogger Afrobella, Fashion blogger Mattie James and celebrity stylists, Felicia Leatherwood has something for everyone.

There will be several free events throughout the week located within the metro Atlanta area as well as affordable a-la-carte tickets for events being held during the Hair and Beauty Conference on March 2-3, 2013.
VIP pass’ ($99) for the conference are available and will include access to all  paid events (excluding bloggers brands and brunch-limited to pre-registered bloggers only),  ‘Fro Fashion Show & After Party,  complimentary meals, drinks at selected events and even a a special VIP box full of brand samples and full size products.
Guests can also opt for $60  one day pass’ that afford them access to all workshops and events  for that respective day, “The Runway” shopping Arena, Sponsors suites,  Curl-friends  lounge brand giveaways and a swag bag of samples. (while supplies last)
Fro Fashion Week is proud to announce their partnership with The Textured Hair Institute who will conduct their inaugural continuing education class for Hair Stylists seeking to transition clients from relaxed to natural hair.  The Textured Hair Institute will be held at ‘Fro Fashion Week in the Monroe Room on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Hair Stylist mus pre-register to attend and can do so by visiting frofashionweek.com
Those looking to forgo the workshops and party instead can purchase a la carte tickets to three special events, the ‘Fro Fashion Show, our signature event being held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marriott Perimeter Center, tickets are $25 prepaid and $30 at the door.
The After Party which will be promoted and hosted this year by RAAP ATL network,  promises to deliver Men that love naturalistas to the ‘Fro Fashion Week Experience , is scheduled on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. at the Marriott Perimeter Center, Carter Room and of course the  extremely popular Bloggers Brands and Brunch featuring Chary Jay as keynote speaker  ($25) is scheduled on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. again at the Marriott Perimeter Center, Atlanta GA.

As previously mentioned, there are a number of free events available throughout the week including the Being Beautiful is Naturally Me! Community outreach project presented by JessiCurl . This day of empowerment, self acceptance, learning, fun and fellowship is limited to fifty youth, both boys and girls.
