Fall 2011 Cosmetics Trend Show At Nordstrom- ATL: Recap

I had the awesome chance to check out the Fall 2011 Cosmetics Trend fashion show at Nordstrom- Perimeter location. I saw YT guru MakeUpByRenRen tweet about it so I hit up the homie, Makeup Artist Alexandra Bond  to get more deets. I was so happy I was able to attend at the last minute and thanks to Alexandra for hooking it up!

The event was hosted by Nordstrom’s Beauty Director Karen DeLauro who definitely knew her stuff. She could spit off facts about every single brand- wow how awesome is that?? Her co-host for the evening was Celebrity Makeup Artist Ross Burton (Oprah Winfrey’s personal makeup artist). They were such awesome hosts and kept the crowd on their toes wanting more

All of the ladies arrived to the mall at 7:30am this past Saturday – omg soooo early and sooo many people. They had a continental breakfast for all of the ladies who attended. To get everyone to wake up, they did several giveaways before the event started.

Fast forward to the show…All I can say is WOW! All of the best beauty brands were there and had great representatives from each country who hyped up the crowd down the runway, showed off their products, offered specifics, AND did giveaways.

Representatives from Clarisonic, Bobbi Brown, Dior, Laura Mercier, Chanel and several others came to Atlanta to show off their Fall favorites and their best sellers. I learned so much about all of the awesome beauty brands even though I was familiar with almost all of them.

Not only did they show off beauty items, but they showed off their model’s beautiful faces and great looks: Hollywood Glow, Metal Rush, and Runway Reds.

After the show was over, everyone rushed downstairs to receive their complimentary makeup looks or services like eyebrows by Anatasia or a Clarisonic treatment. I chose to go with a Bobbi Brown makeup look. (will post later on)

Check out Alex! Thanks again!
