Extensions- My Leave Out And Braids

Posted on Aug 19 2012 - 12:09pm by LexiWithTheCurls

Last weekend I got a protective style- extensions. I wanted to give my hair a 4 week break. Alot of people were asking about the braids and the leave out so here it is. Here are the specs:

Stylist: Shawnda Dee

Hair: Indique Hair – Mystere’ Curl

2 bundles 18 inches

Here you can see my braids and the leave out

Here you can see the side part and my leave out clearly

From the back prior to blending:

Here is the finished product:

The pics below are from the Rent The Runway event I attended. My hair looks frizzy because I was caught in a little rain :-( but I think it still looks good.

I will be posting videos and picture tutorials on the blending process for hair like this shortly.

Did you like the Indique hair better than the ONYC kinky curly hair?

I love your hair. I’m thinking about doing the same thing for the winter.

It’s too early for me to judge and because it’s different textures, it would be difficult to compare. As far as hair strength and wefts, they are both great. Minimal to no shedding.

It looks great! I have been looking for a protective style for the Fall and this look just may be it. Looking forward to seeing your video and pictures of the blending process

Lexi, love the KC hair. May I ask, what color products do you think are best for KC hair. Taking my Kinky Curly hair to a blonde typically strips my curls to a wave.

Would love your feedback or video on coloring KC extensions.
