If you didn’t get a chance to join us last week, you missed a super fun, exciting class. Not only did we get to sweat and work out, but we also discussed our hair! You CAN workout and still maintain healthy, stylish natural hair. Remember, healthy hair starts from within so if you’re body is healthy, you will continue to have healthy hair.
Each attendee received a product from Cantu’s Refresh line that features Apple Cider Vinegar. I feel like this line is great for protective styles and in between workouts. If you are like me, after a workout, you may not feel like washing your hair…and that’s okay. You don’t have to wash your hair everyday.
Have you been looking for a dry co-wash for black hair? I know we see it all the time promoted to caucasian women, but I was so excited to see that Cantu has a Apple Cider Vinegar Dry Co-Wash.
After my workout, I parted my hair slightly with my fingers and sprayed some on my scalp to absorb the sweat. It has tea tree oil in it so it feels great on your skin. This is part shampoo/party conditioner.
Every now and then, my scalp feels a little bad or it might be a little itchy when I go longer than usual in between washes. The new Root Rinse helps refresh my scalp when I feel like being lazy and not washing and styling. It has helped alleviate any itching I had. This is going to come in handy when I get my faux locs in a couple of weeks. ( I KNOW I am going to need this).
They also have a Root Relief which I haven’t tried yet. This helps soothe the scalp and help calm the tension. Where was this product at everytime I got braids?? lol
All of these products, you don’t need water for them!! This makes them great for those in between workouts (and of course while wearing protective styles)
Check out a recap of our last Curly & Fit class and look out for the deets for the April class in Atlanta .
