Black Friday and Cyber Monday can be overwhelming. I have broken down a couple of tips that have helped me when shopping either in-store or online.
Know What You Want
Come up with a list of must have items. It is much easier to plan for Black Friday or Cyber Monday when you at least have an idea of what you want. Break down the list by type of store. Put all technology items together, all beauty items, etc… This will help you plan out for each store so you don’t miss anything in the chaos.
Look For Sales Early
Pay attention to those commercials on TV so you can find out where the best sales are! Since you already know what you want, you know what to look for. I never check my newspaper BUT look out for all the deals in the mail or newspaper. They will showcase all the best deals at each store. You just want to be prepared and know where to go or shop.
Start Filling Up Your Carts
Jessica (GlamazonsBlog.com) taught me this..Start looking now and putting items in your cart on the stores online site. Most sites hold items in your cart for 30 days (Some less days and some more). Put everything in your cart that you know you want BEFORE. On Black Friday or Cyber Monday, all you have to do is wait for the sales to apply or for those online codes to work, and you have an easy breezy check out!
Stick To A Budget
Know what you are willing to spend and what you are not willing to spend. Don’t just buy something because it’s a good deal. Sure a 90 gallon fish tank is cool when it’s on sale, but did you really want it?!? Stick to your list and budget. It’s easy to overspend when things are 50%+ off. Trust me, I know! This is always one of my biggest problems! It’s the psychology of sales— you see something on sale and you want it–even if you don’t need it or were even looking for it.
I hope this helps a little for the holiday chaos that will start next weekend.
