In early June I had the awesome opportunity to head to a studio in Atlanta to go Behind The Scenes of Ebony’s Beauty Queen photo shoot with new hair line Clear Ultra Shea! Of course I was sworn to secrecy because they didn’t want to let everyone know who won from the HBCU’s. I used to always love reading Ebony with the Campus Queens article would come out. Well, now they have finally announced them! Check out the lovely ladies:
Celebrity stylist and the Clear Ultra Shea spokesperson Oscar James was on site to take care of the ladies! He hooked them up and all of their hair was of course gorgeous. Check out one of the campus queens and Oscar James as they watch their playback:
I watched behind the scenes as they rehearsed the scenes and they did so with perfection.
He was such a blast to meet. I love to interview celebrity stylist to get some insight on hair trends and the new CLEAR Ultra Shea line. (Too bad I lost the audio when my iPhone was stolen ) Check out some of his tips:
“Since African American women tend to have dryer scalps, it’s crucial to start with the right foundation by using CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY™ Ultra Shea shampoo and conditioner.”
“Wearing your hair in a heat-free style, like a curly upsweep, will give your polished look a bit of an edge and let your natural texture shine. Smooth the back and sides of your hair up, as if creating a high ponytail, and secure each section with bobby pins. Apply CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY™ Ultra Shea Nourishing Scalp & Hair Oil to the hairline and ends to condition and add shine. I love how the light, non-greasy formula instantly soothes and nourishes the scalp for quick relief from dryness.”
