I had the awesome opportunity to hang out with The Body Shop -Lenox Mall team where bloggers could get makeovers, hand massages, drinks, snacks and much more.
I am a HUGE TBS fan. My first experience would have to be walking through the mall and smelling this glorious smell. I always wondered what store and what fragrance made a section of the mall smell so good. Finally one day a couple of years ago I stop and investigate this scent I had been smelling for ages. Satsuma…. :sigh: It is the BEST smell I have ever smelled. I of course bought up tons of burning oil for my house.
After my new found obsession with Satsuma fragrance oil, I began to delve into the other products starting with the body washes (Try Olive!!) , the body butters (Try Satsuma) , and even the makeup (Love their bronzers).
So this Sunday, Eboni of Fashionista Next Door and I headed to The Body Shop after the mall closed and were greeted by the most amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable.
I decided to jump in the seat with Trey to get my makeup done with The Body Shop products. He was very knowledgeable about skincare and is also an aesthetician. He told me my skin was dry and he cleansed, toned and moisturized my face with the Vitamin C line.
He then made up my face and used the Extra Virgin Minerals Powder Foundation and concealer.
He hooked up my eyes, added some blush and bronzer, a little lip gloss and voila! Here is the complete look:
Oh, and while hooking up my skin and makeup he also told me all of the scoop on The Body Shop. All of their products have natural ingredients in them and they use community trade ingredients from all over the world. I definitely learned alot more about the brand.
While there I ran into YourUnexpectedBeauty and BernettaStyle…
…and Kim from Ebony.com and I recently met Mikkel of LoveTheLookBlog

I had a great time and I made sure to purchase one of their skincare lines. My skin has been going through it the past couple of months and I wanted to try some different lines. Based on Trey’s recommendation, I went for the Aloe skincare line made with organic aloe from Guatemala. I purchased the Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser, the Aloe Calming Toner, and the Aloe Soothing Night Cream.
We got cool giftbags too so I get to try out their new BB Cream that can sense your color. How cool is that??
If you are in Atlanta, check out the Lenox location or any of your local TBS.
Have you tried The Body Shop before? If so, what’s your favorite product?
