1st Roller set
I tried a roller set on myself maybe like 3 years ago and it was a disaster…I mean DISASTER. I never really got roller sets when I was relaxed so I didn’t know the proper technique. I tried using the magnetic rollers with just bobby pins like they do it in salons…lol I could not get my hair smooth for ANYTHING. It was just like I took my curly hair and put it on a roller without smoothing it down lol. .I can’t tell you all the mistakes I made. Needless to say, after being frustrated, I QUIT after the 1st roller was not successful LOL.
So anyway, after perusing through LHCF and then on YT, I decided to give it another try–this time with Snap on Magnetic rollers. I used the Jumbo size and I ended using 20 rollers. I cant wait to see how it turns out. I hope not bad.
Anyway, here is the set:
Can I tell you how much I HATE sitting under the dryer?? Ugghh!! Im going to sit under for an hour.
I know my head isnt all the way under. The counter is tall so I am already sitting on a pillow…The front is most important to me. I can’t wait to see the outcome. I remember one time I had to pick up my bf from the airport years ago when I was in school, I went to a Dominican Salon and they took sooo long I had to leave right after I got from under the dryer. It was actually super cute—not flatiron, no blow out, just the rollerset and sitting under the dryer. If anything I will flat iron just the roots in the fronts and on the side perimeter.
I used Jane Carter Wrap and Roll and Samy Silk anti-friz smoothing serum. To keep my hair wet, I had a spray bottle with water, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and Peppermint oil.
